Position Summary
Ensure that all methods, tools, etc., are working at optimum levels with emphasis on safety, Quality and Productivity. Complete routings, operation or process drawings and required APQP documents as outlined in Policy/Procedure manual.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply statistical methods, studies and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, production sequence, materials flow, staff requirements, and production standards
- Coordinate quality control objectives and activities (inspection, measurement, testing) to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost
- Routing configurations and industrial engineering requirements as defined
- Confer with management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and others
- Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to define the requirements for safety, Quality and Productivity
- Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, lead times and related information to help the production and activities
- Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards
- Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control
- Recommend and conduct the continuous improvement for utilizing of personnel, material, and utilities to reduce the overall manufacturing costs
- Project management using advanced project planning
- Knowledge of fixture and gauge design, welding, assembly line processes
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Good problem solving abilities, good communication skills
- Continuous improvements, 5 S and Lean manufacturing skills
- Able to perform method analysis
- ISO 9001 knowledge and experience
- Time study & line efficiency experience
- Able to plan, project, and perform project analysis
- Processing of multiple tasks and projects with frequent interruptions
Requirements
Position requires post secondary education in a technical field of study and at least 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
