Quality Specialist

Position Summary
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the position serves as a quality representative for the company.
- Perform internal & external audits (CTQ, dock/yard, corporate, process, ISO) and facilitate communication to internal and external customers.
- Facilitates as the voice of the customer as well as communication with the customers on discrepancies of product.
- Facilitates training programs for safety, quality, and production, including on-boarding of new employees.
- Lead projects and committee’s working with and in other areas other than their primary responsibility.
- Assures internal and external corrective actions are in place, audited and reported on.
- Conducts and participates in “Root Cause” analysis and TIPSS.
- Assists with the location's safety program as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
It is preferred that candidates will be experienced with quality in the manufacturing industry along with knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), strong problem solver, ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization, demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams, self-directed and motivated, high energy and ability to look outside the box. Certified Quality Auditor, ISO Internal auditor certification or ability to obtain certification is a plus.
