Quality Manager

Position Summary
The Quality Manager is a integral member of the Dexter leadership team in Shawnee. This position plans, coordinates, and directs quality processes designed to ensure quality control, quality assurance and improvement of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate positions.
Requirements
Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design reviews, test, and/or integration to assure quality standards of product components and/or systems are achieved.
Performs quality engineering reviews or design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality specifications and company quality records.
Applies advanced statistical methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes, including DOE, Taguchi or other methods as needed.
Reviews purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
Leads problem-solving activities to solve critical problems.
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
Any other requirements as needed.
Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or comparable discipline and at least 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent in combination of education and experience. Qualified candidates will have experience in machining, assembly and test of suspension products; international experience with focus on Pac-Rim countries.
