Position Summary
- Works with and maintains documents and information that are highly confidential in nature.
- Maintains HR records and database files for purposes including but not limited to participation in benefits plans, personnel transactions, hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, performance reviews, and employee statistics for government reporting in accordance with company record retention policy.
- Responds to unemployment inquiries and employment verification requests.
- Prepares accurate and timely reports as required for governmental compliance or management needs.
- Calculates and/or confirms calculation of and balances facility payroll timesheets and performs audit on weekly and biweekly payroll registers.
- Prepares employee status change notices and related documentation.
- Operates multiline telephone system to answer incoming calls, directs callers to appropriate personnel or department, and provides callers with information as requested.
- Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Coordinates preparation and distribution of new hire packets, acquisition packets, annual open enrollment materials, etc. to for company.
- Maintains organizational charts and other data reporting files for organization.
- Acts as backup to the company’s Senior Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Generalist, performing assigned duties of the position when needed.
- Assist with recruiting responsibilities including coordination with candidates and third-party recruiters, posting of jobs and assisting candidates with pre-screening and pre-hire related tasks.
- Administers service award and tuition reimbursement programs.
- Provides administrative support to the location including purchasing of office supplies and business cards, coordination of on-site lunches, procurement of employee related gifts.
- Receiving of invoices into company ERP system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Human Resources or a comparable discipline and at least 2 years work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Skilled with organizing complex tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Possess good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to make decision with little oversight.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Previous Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
