Position Summary
Develops tools, implements designs, and integrates machinery or equipment to ensure effective manufacturing processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilizes prints to fabricate components which includes using several forms of metal chip forming processes, welding, fabrication, and assembly.
- Inspects products and processes for flaws and identifies areas of improvement.
- Solves problems related to reducing production costs, planning workflows, and designing the layout of machinery within a factory.
- Develops and tests solutions to solve technical problems in manufacturing.
- Troubleshoots equipment, machinery and tooling at the manufacturing plants.
- Assists engineers, inspects products, conducts tests, and collects data.
- Procure equipment parts and MRO supplies.
- Installs equipment at the manufacturing plants.
- Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requires Associate’s Degree in Engineering, or a comparable discipline and at least 2 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
