Chief Operating Officer
Ed Kopkowski, Chief Operating Officer, joined Dexter in May 2015 and is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the areas of supply chain, engineering, safety, quality, continuous improvement, manufacturing operations and oversees the Ventline and Dexter Door business. Mr. Kopkowski has over thirty years of manufacturing industry experience holding positions in product, quality and manufacturing engineering, operations, and P&L management. Before joining Dexter, Mr. Kopkowski was COO and President of A123 Systems global transportation business. Previously he had responsibility for the Axle business at Dana Corporation and was President of the North American Wheel businesses and Commercial Vehicle and Aftermarket businesses at Hayes Lemmerz. He has also led global implementation of Operational Excellence initiatives at Allied Signal / Bosch, Pilkington, Hayes Lemmerz, and Dana driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives at over 200 manufacturing sites in 29 countries. Mr. Kopkowsi’s diverse background includes degrees from Purdue University in Mechanical Engineering (BS) and a Masters in Management from Nazareth College and is a certified quality engineer and registered Professional Engineer.
